ADVANTAGES OF SEDEX/SMETA

SMETA is designed to benefit retailers, consumer brands, and their suppliers, reducing duplication of effort in ethical trade auditing. Companies who are not members of Sedex are able and encouraged to use SMETA as well.

SMETA stands for Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit, and it incorporates three elements:

  • A common best practice guidance on conducting ethical trade audits
  • A common audit report format
  • A common corrective action plan format

The Sedex Associate Auditor Group in response to the challenge from Sedex members to provide a report format for ethical trade audits that could more easily be shared and to give greater transparency into the auditor qualifications and practices that underpin reports developed SMETA guidance and report formats.

A breakdown of the Buffalo Bills' 2017 draft class and its progress after two weeks of training camp:

Tre'Davious White, CB, first round (No. 27 overall): White has spent training camp exclusively with the first-team defense and has not looked out of place. After the Bills traded Ronald Darby to the Philadelphia Eagles last week, Connor Barwin JerseysWhite is locked in as the team's top cornerback, with a competition at the other spot. White has shown impressive instincts and ball skills for a rookie.

Zay Jones, WR, second round (No. 37): The Bills' unexpected trade of Sammy Watkins last week benefits Jones, who has taken a large chunk of the first-team reps since the deal. With newcomer Jordan Matthews sidelined with a fractured sternum, Jones has frequently lined up with veteran Anquan Boldin as the top receiver pairing. Andre Holmes has also worked into that mix.

Dion Dawkins, OT, second round (No. 63): Dawkins has practiced mostly with the second team at right tackle, although he and second-team right guard Vladimir Ducasse have received first-team reps at times. Darren Sproles Jerseys"I like part of what I see," coach Sean McDermott said Sunday of Dawkins. "The rest of it is him getting used to playing in the NFL." Although Dawkins taking starting right tackle Jordan Mills' job does not appear imminent, Dawkins could eventually see time at left tackle if Cordy Glenn's foot injury does not improve. Seantrel Henderson has taken first-team left tackle reps but is suspended for the first five games.

Matt Milano, LB, fifth round (No. 163): It has been a low key camp for Milano, whose reps have mostly come with the second-team defense. He was not a part of any of the Bills' top special-teams units in last Thursday's preseason opener, Jordan Matthews Jerseyswhich is not the most encouraging sign for a rookie who will have to make his mark in that phase of the game.

Nathan Peterman, QB, fifth round (No. 171): Peterman began camp as the No. 3 quarterback and struggled at times, but leading the Bills on a 13-play, 79-yard touchdown drive helped propel him into the No. 2 role this week in practice. Fletcher Cox JerseysPeterman is now taking the majority of second-team reps instead of veteran T.J. Yates. "Really just trying to get him more reps," McDermott said Sunday of Peterman. "You know, T.J.'s been in the system for a while, so he knows the system well and, Brian Dawkins Jerseysreally, it's just taking a look at Nate and giving him a chance to develop, really, with added reps."
